Moving Data improves mobile performance across the Australian Outback by collecting and standardising alerts and statistics from mobile devices and networks. Facing millions of network events, the company needed real-time Big Data analytics with interactive visual analysis and collaborative online dashboards to spot trends quickly and deliver insights to existing and new telecommunications clients—capabilities their previous Excel- and web-graph workflows could not provide.

Moving Data implemented BIME Cloud BI on Google BigQuery to process an initial load of 500 million radius records (plus 10,000 probes, 120.6 million sessions and 960 device models), delivering browser-based, interactive dashboards in seconds. The scalable, pay-as-you-go solution eliminated complex infrastructure, enabled fast cross–time-zone collaboration, and is used by 2–3 analysts and the performance team; dashboards with KPIs now speed insight delivery to major telcos, shorten decision cycles, and will be rolled out to more customers as data volumes grow.
