A BIM Track Case Study
Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, faced significant coordination challenges during the renovation of a university campus. The project involved tight constraints as the existing building remained occupied, and the team struggled with decentralized communication. Managing numerous issues via email and annotated plans led to poor visibility and inefficiency. They turned to the vendor BIM Track to find a better way to centralize issue tracking and communication for their team and stakeholders.
BIM Track provided a centralized platform that integrated with Revit, allowing the Bouygues team to federate models, detect clashes, and convert problems into trackable issues. This solution introduced transparency, clear accountability, and streamlined coordination. The use of BIM Track resulted in 779 issues being processed, with 336 closed, and increased the number of problems solved before construction began. The vendor's tool also saved significant time in preparing reports and managing coordination meetings.
