Case Study: PDC Engineering Evolved streamlines complex BIM issue coordination with BIM Track

A BIM Track Case Study

Preview of the PDC Engineering Evolved Case Study

BIM Track for integrated resort development Queen’s Wharf Brisbane

PDC Engineering Evolved was faced with the challenge of coordinating a massive $3.6 billion integrated resort development, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, across 26 different stakeholders using 16 different software packages. The primary obstacles were managing the sheer volume of coordination, facilitating weekly reviews among teams using incompatible software like Revit and ArchiCAD, and maintaining the project's rapid pace.

The solution was implemented with BIM Track, a central communication platform that allowed all teams to work in their preferred software while using its add-ins and web platform to capture, track, and close out coordination issues. Using BIM Track gave PDC Engineering Evolved the ability to hold stakeholders accountable, avoid fragmented communication, and use Power BI dashboards to monitor consultant performance. The result was a streamlined process where consultants became highly engaged and accountable, ensuring issues were reliably tracked through to resolution.
