SYSTRA, an international engineering group, faced challenges in standardizing its BIM data and processes across its global subsidiaries. Each location had to contend with unique contractual requirements, national standards, and discipline-specific needs, creating a lack of coherence. To address this, SYSTRA partnered with vendor BIM&CO to implement a structured, shared data repository using the Onfly platform to ensure data interoperability and reliability.

BIM&CO's solution centered on its Onfly platform, which SYSTRA uses as a centralized cloud-based library dubbed the "SYSTRA Object Register." A key feature deployed was the use of property sets, a module developed by BIM&CO to manage object data enrichment according to specific project phases. This allowed SYSTRA to standardize its data structure group-wide, replacing inefficient Excel files and guaranteeing reliable BIM data for all projects, thereby facilitating the work of its employees across different entities and business units.
