The Evolution Institute Streamlines International AP with Bill.com

The Evolution Institute is a San Antonio–based nonprofit that connects evolutionary experts with policymakers and researchers on projects ranging from early childhood education to global economic studies. Before adopting Bill.com, the organization relied on expensive bank wires and a patchwork use of TransferWise that didn’t integrate with QuickBooks or domestic AP, creating manual reconciliation work and uncertainty for large international grants.

In 2016 the institute implemented Bill.com for both domestic and international payments, gaining a single workflow that integrates with QuickBooks Online. The change eliminated costly wire fees, removed back-and-forth emails and double data entry, sped up AP, and freed staff to expand international partnerships and focus on the organization’s core mission.
