A Bill.com Case Study

Mozilla Foundation - Customer Case Study

Mozilla, a pioneer born from Netscape and creator of Firefox, needed to modernize finance for its global projects—managing about 400 monthly invoices pushed CFO Jim Cook to find a digital solution because, as he put it, “sending around paper to sign is ‘just crazy,’” after failing to find a tool that combined financial management, accountability and ease of use.

A web search led to Bill.com, which Cook and his team recommended across 50 line-of-business managers and then rolled out quickly; it integrated with existing systems, digitized bills with audit trails and access to original contracts, and became a central hub for payables. The result was increased control and efficiency, elimination of paper-based inefficiencies, and better support for mobile and remote workers—“Bill.com changes the game from a paper-based, manual system, to the way that non-financial people expect systems to work,” and “Bill.com is a killer app for accounts payable.”
