Manhattan Soccer Club Scores High With a Passion for Kids by Streamlining Their Finances and Paperwork

Manhattan Soccer Club (MSC) is a New York City nonprofit running roughly 70 teams and more than 1,000 players on a $5.5M annual budget. The club’s finance process was bogged down by paper-based payables and manual reimbursements—boxes of receipts, printed checks and time-consuming audits—that ate into staff time and prevented more strategic financial work to support growth and programs for kids from diverse economic backgrounds.

MSC implemented Bill.com with QuickBooks integration (and later added Divvy for expense management), digitizing and automating accounts payable and reimbursements. The change cut processing time—coaches now get reimbursed within a day—simplified annual audits with auditor access to digital records, freed staff to focus on cash‑flow planning and program growth, and enabled the club to efficiently manage roughly $6M in payouts since adoption.
