A Bill.com Case Study

Finance Software Powerhouse Scales with Bill.com

Quicken, the best-selling personal finance software in the U.S., spun off from Intuit in 2016 and needed to stand up finance and accounting systems quickly. Incoming Corporate Controller (now CFO) Gary Hornbeek faced a tight timeline to implement tools that were easy to deploy and would scale with the new company, so Quicken selected Bill.com alongside NetSuite for their simplicity and seamless integration.

Bill.com’s accounts payable, customer payments and Intelligent Virtual Assistant automated invoice processing (about 200 invoices/month), simplified refunds and bank reconciliation, and tied directly into NetSuite. The result: AP runs with minimal headcount, faster access to real-time cash data for better forecasting, tighter security, and higher productivity—helping Quicken grow as a cost-efficient, standalone company.
