iSelect is an Australian comparison service helping customers save time and money across household bills, insurance, utilities, and personal finance. To improve its energy onboarding process, iSelect needed a faster, more seamless way for customers to provide bill information and receive comparisons without going through multiple manual steps. Bill Identity, then operating as BidEnergy, provided its robotic process automation (RPA) utility bill parsing technology.

Bill Identity implemented a bill upload and parsing solution that lets iSelect customers upload gas and electricity bills directly to the iSelect website, where the platform digitizes the bill data and sends it instantly to iSelect. This reduced onboarding steps, improved accuracy and speed, and created a better customer experience while delivering productivity gains for iSelect. The agreement was signed for 13 months, and Bill Identity was set to earn revenue on a per-bill-parsed basis, with the solution expected to go live in H2 FY20.
