JAS Architects Group, a Fairfax, VA–based architecture firm working across 26 states, faced fragmented time tracking and accounting that made it hard to see project time and budget performance. Founder Jon Sammer needed a solution that would let project managers run invoices and manage time without giving them direct access to QuickBooks, so the firm turned to BigTime Software’s practice management and time-tracking solution with QuickBooks integration.

BigTime Software implemented its time-tracking/practice management system linked to QuickBooks, enabling project managers to create invoices independently while paid invoices post simultaneously to both systems. The deployment included customizable templates and adapted budget tools (renamed “Phases of a Project”), delivering clearer time- and budget-reporting, streamlined money-in/money-out and cost tracking, and a more sophisticated yet unchanged workflow for the team (BigTime users: 7).
