Bigleaf Revives Toymaker’s Cloud Reliability

OzWest Inc., the exclusive North American distributor of Zing Toys, was struggling with an unreliable warehouse Internet connection in Banks, Ore.—two slow, weather-prone links (DSL and fixed wireless) that crippled their Citrix virtual desktop, VPN access to a colocation, file transfers, label printing and VOIP. Portland Internetworks, OzWest’s outsourced IT firm, sought a simple fix and turned to Bigleaf Networks’ smart networking/load‑balancing solution to address the “dirty bandwidth” problem.

Bigleaf Networks deployed a preconfigured, plug-and-play router that creates cloud gateway tunnels over each Internet circuit, continuously monitoring performance, prioritizing critical traffic and dynamically rerouting or load‑balancing to avoid jitter, latency and packet loss. The one‑day Sept. 2015 install immediately cut support noise—IT help calls dropped and OzWest saw a 27% month‑to‑month reduction in support time—restoring stable warehouse operations and eliminating frequent disconnects during wireless outages.
