BigHand Dictation with Mobility apps prove a big hit for Fox Rothschild LLP

Fox Rothschild LLP, a Philadelphia-based law firm with 500+ attorneys across 15 U.S. offices, needed to replace an antiquated analog tape dictation system to boost mobile productivity, redistribute work more efficiently and reduce costs. The firm selected BigHand and deployed BigHand’s workflow digital dictation system and Mobility/Smartphone solution to enable flexible working and modernize attorney dictation.

BigHand’s solution let attorneys send digital dictations (including time recordings and verbal delegations) from their BlackBerry devices to office support staff instantly, which smoothed peaks in workloads by delivering smaller, shareable “snippets,” improved turnaround times, and increased support-staff efficiency and coverage. The BigHand rollout has already completed 8 offices, captured previously missed billable time, reduced attorneys’ need to return to the office, and is being extended firmwide.
