Denner, Switzerland's largest discount retailer, faced the challenge of ensuring the absolute accuracy of its business intelligence data through constant platform changes. Any release could silently alter critical figures, and manual quality checks could not keep pace. To guarantee confidence in their numbers, Denner turned to vendor BiG EVAL for a proof of concept in automated regression testing.

The solution from BiG EVAL used metadata-driven scaling to automatically generate over 3,000 quality checks from a handful of reusable test patterns. This net caught a hidden defect in data historization on the second day of the PoC, proving its value. The implemented solution provides continuous end-to-end assurance from store tills to analytical cubes, freeing developers from manual testing and providing confidence in every release. BiG EVAL has been in successful production use at Denner for over five years.
