Human Tissue Authority launches a redesigned Drupal 9 platform with Big Blue Door and passes NHSX assessment on first public live review

The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) faced the challenge of its existing website technology being deprecated. They commissioned Big Blue Door to conduct a discovery workshop to analyze the organization's needs for a new digital solution, which would also need to pass a full NHSX digital assessment.

Big Blue Door implemented a solution using a headless Drupal 9 CMS combined with a React and Gatsby frontend, hosted on Amazon Web Services for resilience. The project successfully passed all NHSX assessment gateways, resulting in a fully launched platform that improved user experience and navigation for medical professionals and the public. The code was also open-sourced by Big Blue Door for use by other organizations.
