East London NHS Foundation Trust launches new website and intranet across 160 sites with Big Blue Door

East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), a major NHS trust operating across 160 sites, required a new cutting-edge digital solution to redesign its flagship website and intranet. They partnered with Big Blue Door to improve user experience, support their Digital First strategy, and integrate fifteen microsites, all while ensuring compliance with high accessibility standards.

Big Blue Door delivered a comprehensive solution using the open-source Drupal 9 platform. The project included a redesigned information architecture, a new intranet for staff, and the integration of microsites. The public website launched in December 2021, followed by the intranet in April 2022. Post-launch, Big Blue Door provides ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring 24/7 availability and security for the Trust's new digital infrastructure.
