NECOR Zambia Limited, an Information & Communications Technology company, needed to immediately provide a robust and affordable telephony solution for the Electoral Commission of Zambia during a critical election period. Partnering with Bicom Systems, NECOR faced the challenge of handling a massive, unpredictable spike in calls on a tight budget while also adapting to an unfamiliar telecom environment provided by the local incumbent, Zamtel.

Bicom Systems implemented a high-availability solution using two M2000 appliances with Call Center PBX in a mirrored failover configuration. With support from technology partners, Bicom Systems provided remote training, enabling new hires to master the system within a week. The solution successfully managed the dramatic increase in call volume, contributing to a smooth and fair election process. This affordable and reliable system exceeded expectations and significantly aided the subsequent expansion of NECOR Zambia.
