Legal Aid Ontario (LAO), an independent non-profit providing provincial legal aid services, faced the immense challenge of replacing its outdated phone system. With a tight three-month deadline to support 450 central office users and multiple call centers, LAO needed a modern, scalable system that could provide robust reporting and be networked with regional offices to save on long-distance costs and simplify management.
Bicom Systems implemented its PBXware solution, which included custom work and was deployed on new servers with Polycom phones. The results were highly successful: call center supervisors gained simple, flexible control over agents, and the 450 staff were seamlessly networked into a single provincial dial plan.
