Edge Hill University provides round-the-clock digital content access to 13,000 students with BibliU

Edge Hill University, a higher education institution serving over 13,000 students, faced a significant challenge when the COVID-19 pandemic rendered its traditional print-forward textbook model obsolete. With classes moving online, the library needed a way to provide universal digital content access to all students, but licensing restrictions on popular titles limited their options. They turned to the vendor BibliU for a solution.

BibliU implemented its On-Demand Learning solution, which integrated seamlessly with the university's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This provided students with round-the-clock access to digital textbooks without needing additional logins. The library used BibliU’s analytics dashboard to monitor usage, optimize its content budget by identifying high-use and low-use titles, and ensure resources were effectively allocated to support student success.
