Amazonas modernizes 1st Northern Brazil libraries with bibliotheca since 2017

The customer, Amazonas State University, sought to modernize its library operations and improve security for its collections and users. They partnered with the vendor bibliotheca to implement self-service and RFID technology to simplify processes and minimize contact.

bibliotheca's solution provided self-service equipment that allowed patrons to borrow materials autonomously, which decreased loan times and freed staff to focus on managerial tasks. The technology also ensured the security of materials and provided a safer, contact-reduced environment for both staff and users. As a result, the university became the first in Northern Brazil to modernize its libraries in this way and now operates the largest number of libraries with bibliotheca technology in the Amazonas region.
