Wentworth-Douglass Hospital - Customer Case Study

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Dover Family Practice, part of the Professional Center in Dover, New Hampshire, needed a way to reduce distracting noise and prevent patient conversations from being overheard in its large open-plan office environment. Working with Biamp, the hospital looked for a sound masking solution to improve privacy and create a more comfortable experience for patients and staff, using the QtPro system.

Biamp implemented the Qt 600 sound masking system with low-profile Qt Emitters throughout the suite, including waiting rooms, hallways, and adjacent office areas. The pilot test produced overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients and nursing staff, and the system was then expanded across all ten physician group practices plus the lab and imaging suites, reducing distractions, improving confidentiality, and helping Wentworth-Douglass Hospital achieve a more peaceful, patient-friendly environment.
