University of South Dakota upgrades DakotaDome’s 9,100-seat sound system with Biamp

The University of South Dakota sought to update the audio capabilities of its 9,100-seat DakotaDome as part of a major facility renovation. The challenge was to provide superior sound for both college athletics and community events within the multi-purpose dome.

Biamp, through its Community I Series loudspeakers, provided the solution. The system included IV6-1122 arrays for output and coverage, R.5HP loudspeakers for corner coverage, and IS8-218 subwoofers for low frequency extension. The university was very pleased with the results, and Biamp's solution fully equipped the renovated DakotaDome to provide superior sound for all its events.
