A Biamp Case Study
The University of Oregon faced the challenge of creating the world's most advanced collegiate football facility to bolster recruitment and provide elite training. They needed to integrate powerful, flexible audio and video technology throughout the new Hatfield-Dowlin Complex to enhance player education, motivation during workouts, and the replication of intense stadium noise on practice fields. The university partnered with systems integrator CompView, who implemented audio solutions from vendor Biamp, including the AudiaFLEX digital audio platform and Nexia digital signal processors.
Biamp's equipment provided the high-performance, networked audio backbone for the entire facility. The solution delivered thunderous, clear audio in the weight room, enabled coaches to communicate via wireless mics, powered a videoconferencing room for recruitment, and successfully recreated 115-decibel crowd noise on the practice field. As a result, the University of Oregon strengthened its legacy, significantly enhanced its recruitment efforts, and created an environment where student-athletes achieve strong athletic and academic results, with more players expected to advance to the NFL.
