Uber Advanced Technologies Group (ATG), based in Pittsburgh, wanted to make its 50 conference rooms more user-friendly so employees would actually use them as intended. The company was frustrated with conferencing technology that was difficult to operate across spaces ranging from huddle rooms to larger meeting rooms, and turned to Biamp for a better solution using Devio, Tesira, and Parle microphones.

Biamp implemented Devio Huddle Room Conferencing Hub for small and medium rooms and Tesira Digital Signal Processor with Parle Beamtracking microphones for larger spaces. The redesigned system delivered “invisible comfort,” improved audio quality, and made conversations feel more natural, resulting in employees becoming far more comfortable using the conferencing spaces. Biamp’s auto-calibration and room-specific approach helped Uber ATG focus on collaboration instead of the technology itself.
