St. Augustine Catholic Church - Customer Case Study

St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, Ohio, needed a way to improve speech intelligibility in its highly reverberant historic sanctuary without adding acoustic treatment that would detract from the church’s architecture and murals. Biamp provided the audio solution through Community ENTASYS 200 column array loudspeakers and a dSPEC loudspeaker processor.

Biamp’s system used multiple ENTASYS 212 and 203 loudspeakers, with processing and delay to deliver even coverage throughout the sanctuary, front chancel, and balcony. The church also upgraded to headworn wireless microphones and powered the system with amplifiers, resulting in clear, natural-sounding speech that was intelligible even under the balcony where people had previously struggled to hear the priest and lector.
