A Biamp Case Study
Schaeffler, a leading manufacturer of bearings, required a single, sophisticated audio system for sound reinforcement and voice evacuation in their new, large conference center in Germany. The challenge was to integrate these capabilities with fire-retardant cabling and invisible speakers to maintain the building's aesthetic. Biamp Systems provided the solution using their Vocia and AudiaFLEX products.
Biamp's Vocia system provided a combined public address and certified voice evacuation solution, while AudiaFLEX offered routing and control. The decentralized network architecture significantly reduced the amount of expensive fire-retardant cabling needed, which lowered overall system costs. This savings allowed for an investment in higher-end, out-of-sight speakers, resulting in a superior, reliable audio system that met all design and safety requirements.
