A Biamp Case Study
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) had a challenge: they needed a powerful and highly flexible audio solution to match the stunning visual technology in their AU$3.5 million project, the Cube. This interactive installation, designed to engage students and the public with science, required an audio system that could manage complex, responsive soundscapes across six separate display zones without intrusive audio bleed between exhibits. QUT and their integrator, ProAV Solutions, turned to Biamp and its Tesira digital audio processor to meet this demanding need.
The Biamp Tesira platform provided the audio flexibility and processing power required for the large-scale installation, managing approximately 96 inputs and 80 outputs to drive more than 25 hidden speakers. The solution delivered a captivating, responsive soundscape that perfectly complemented the interactive visual exhibits, allowing visitors to be immersed in audio without disturbance from neighboring zones. The result was a complete and highly educational sensory experience that has been met with extremely enthusiastic feedback, successfully promoting QUT's vision of innovation.
