Protecting Speech Privacy and Reducing Distractions in a Law Office

Hogen Adams, a Minnesota law office specializing in Native American law, needed a way to protect confidential conversations in private offices and, especially, its conference room, where thin walls made discussions easy to overhear. The firm turned to Biamp’s sound masking solution, specifically the Qt® 100 Sound Masking System, after searching for a better alternative to white noise.

Biamp’s system, installed by an AV contractor with ceiling emitters and a wall-mounted control module, created a barely noticeable background sound that reduced speech intelligibility throughout the office. As a result, meetings in the conference room and conversations in adjacent offices could no longer be overheard, making the space more private, comfortable, and productive; the case study notes the office spans approximately 5,000 square feet.
