A Biamp Case Study
The Oregon State Board of Nursing, a state government agency, was dealing with distractions and poor speech privacy in an 8,000-square-foot office that included open workstations, private offices, corridors, and interviewing rooms. To address complaints about cross talk and noise in the workplace, the organization turned to Biamp’s sound masking technology, specifically the Cambridge Sound Management QtPro solution.
Biamp, through its Cambridge Sound Management QtPro 600 sound masking system, installed small ceiling-mounted emitters throughout the space to create a low-level background sound tuned to human speech frequencies. The result was a quieter, more private environment where employees could concentrate better, conversations in private offices were less likely to be overheard, and interview room privacy improved; staff also reported a noticeable reduction in distractions.
