Mount Rushmore National Memorial sought to upgrade its sound systems to better serve its nearly three million annual visitors. The challenge was to provide clear vocal projection and musicality across its large amphitheater and public areas while using equipment durable enough to withstand the location's extreme weather conditions. The vendor, Biamp, provided its Community WET and R-SERIES loudspeakers for the project.

Biamp's solution involved installing 20 weather-resistant Community WET315 cabinets on multiple towers to cover the wide amphitheater and 21 Community R.5 loudspeakers for public announcements. The result was a robust system that achieved the desired level of audio excellence. The installation was highly successful, requiring only minor tuning changes, and provided the monument with the impressive, clear sound its grandeur deserves.
