MassChallenge, a Boston-based nonprofit that supports early-stage entrepreneurs, faced significant noise issues in its 24,000 sq. ft. workspace due to reflective surfaces in open offices, conference rooms, lounges, and event areas. The organization needed a way to reduce distractions and improve acoustics for a more collaborative environment, and turned to Biamp’s Qt sound masking solution.

Biamp recommended and installed a Qt 600 Sound Masking System from its Cambridge family of products, using 270 Qt Emitters across six zones and training staff on the monitoring software. The result was a quieter, more private workspace that fostered collaboration, with nearly 50% of cubicle partitions removed and employees reporting greater satisfaction and improved privacy in conference rooms and lounges.
