Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier - Customer Case Study

The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, a waterfront amusement park, faced the audio distribution and control challenge presented by its unique, narrow 1,130-foot-long structure. They needed a robust system for paging, background music, and ride audio that could be centrally monitored and controlled. The integrator, CTI, selected Biamp's AudiaFLEX digital signal processors as the core DSP platform to meet these complex requirements.

The Biamp solution utilized a network of AudiaFLEX units with CobraNet, distributed across five equipment rooms connected by fiber optic cabling. This provided the pier's staff with complete centralized control from a daVinci panel, allowing them to manage volume for each ride and broadcast pre-recorded messages. The implementation by Biamp gave the Pleasure Pier team the ultimate flexibility and reliability to send any audio to any speaker across the entire facility, creating a manageable system for its unique environment.
