Countryside Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida, needed a new sound system for its 300-member sanctuary because congregants were struggling to understand speech, especially in the rear seating areas with lower ceilings. With a limited budget and an unusually shaped auditorium, the church turned to Biamp and its AV integration partner Technical Resource Group to help solve the acoustical and usability challenges.

Biamp’s Nexia SP 4x8 digital system processor was part of a new distributed audio system that included Community VERIS loudspeakers, Crown XTI-Series amplification, a Yamaha M7CL digital console, and ceiling-mounted Audix microphones. The solution delivered clearer speech and music throughout the sanctuary, earned numerous compliments from the congregation, and was described by one member as “a substantial leap in quality.”
