A Biamp Case Study
Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, a major cultural and economic hub in Erie County, New York, was undergoing an $8 million renovation and needed to replace its aging, three-decade-old sound and paging system. The center wanted a modern, flexible audio solution that could support critical paging, background music, and zone-specific use across more than 186,000 square feet of space, including multiple rooms and floors. Biamp provided the networked audio technology used in the project, including Vocia and Audia products.
Biamp and integrator Ronco Specialized Systems implemented a scalable, reliable system with decentralized network architecture for the exhibit hall, flexible paging microphones, local input options, wall controllers, and integration with the new Crestron lighting controls. They also upgraded the meeting rooms and lobby while preserving parts of the existing ballroom system. The result was a consolidated, state-of-the-art audio system that offers integrated critical paging, flexible zoning, and future scalability, giving Buffalo Niagara Convention Center a solution that handles varied event needs now and well into the future.
