Bluefin Robotics, a designer and manufacturer of undersea robots, faced significant acoustic challenges with distracting noise in their newly renovated 54,000 square foot office space in Quincy, MA. The facility's reflective surfaces, including antique hardwood floors and exposed ceilings, caused sound to travel easily. To combat this, Bluefin sought a solution from vendor Biamp.

Biamp implemented its QtPro sound masking system using Qt 600 control modules and emitters. The solution created a uniform background sound that obscured distracting noises, ensuring privacy and a more comfortable environment. The result was a distraction-free workspace that strengthened employee focus and increased satisfaction, allowing staff to fully enjoy their remodeled office. Bluefin's CEO noted the system's cost was minor compared to the value of achieving their desired productive environment.
