A Biamp Case Study

Autodesk - Customer Case Study

Autodesk, the architecture software leader, needed a new 65,000-square-foot headquarters that balanced an open, collaborative design with employee privacy and acoustic comfort. With high ceilings, exposed beams and ventilation, large windows, and many reflective surfaces, the space was prone to noise distractions. Biamp, through Cambridge Sound Management’s Qt Quiet Technology sound masking system, was brought in to address the challenge.

Biamp implemented the Qt 600 sound masking system across the three-floor office, with control modules and emitters tuned for 18 zones throughout open work areas, corridors, conference rooms, and the lobby. The result was a more comfortable, distraction-free environment that employees barely noticed at first, but clearly missed when the system was turned off. The solution also supported Autodesk’s sustainability goals, helping the headquarters achieve LEED Gold for Core and Shell and LEED Platinum for Commercial Interior, while using less than 24 watts to cover up to 72,000 square feet.
