Autodesk achieves LEED Platinum with Biamp sound masking across 18 zones

Autodesk, a leader in 3D design software, faced significant acoustical challenges in its new open-plan headquarters, which featured high ceilings and many reflective surfaces that increased noise distraction. The company also sought LEED certification for the space. To address this, Autodesk worked with Biamp to implement its Cambridge Qt Pro sound masking system.

The Biamp solution created distinct masking zones across the facility, which drastically reduced noise distractions and contributed to a Gold LEED Core and Shell rating and a Platinum LEED Commercial Interior rating. The system's energy efficiency, using less than 24 watts to cover large areas, was a key factor. Employee complaints about noise only emerged when the system was turned off, proving its effectiveness in creating a productive and private environment.
