A Biamp Case Study
Amica Mutual Insurance, a company with more than 40 offices across the country, needed a way to reduce distracting noise in its call centers and private offices. Employees were taking incoming claim calls and making outgoing sales calls throughout the day, and conversations were sometimes overheard in surrounding open-office areas. Biamp’s QtPro™ sound masking solution, including the Qt® 600 Sound Masking System, was selected to help address the issue.
Biamp implemented QtPro in renovated branch locations by installing discreet ceiling emitters connected to a central control module. The solution created a more distraction-free environment with greater speech privacy for private offices and customer service calls, and it also supported paging and occasional music playback. As a result, Amica reported improved employee focus and satisfaction, and Biamp’s QtPro is now included in future renovations and relocations and is installed in most existing locations.
