Acoustic Directions - Customer Case Study

The High Court of Australia needed to modernize its Sydney 19A courtroom to support remote hearings, court transcription, and video conferencing across a highly distributed judicial system. Working with Acoustic Directions, the court sought an audio solution that could balance multiple seating zones, ceiling-mounted loudspeakers, and challenging microphone use while maintaining clarity and control.

Acoustic Directions implemented the Biamp Audia digital audio platform to manage zoned microphones, delay, EQ, echo cancellation, routing, and a custom automixing workflow for the courtroom. The result was a highly intelligible, natural-sounding system with more gain before feedback, improved comfort, and reliable operation for judges, counsel, and transcription—so much so that the High Court of Australia was extremely pleased with the outcome.
