Knowledge-Sharing Healthcare App, Figure 1, Uses Digital Gifting to Grow a Global Referral Program

Figure 1, a healthcare app that helps medical professionals share and discuss medical cases, wanted to grow its global Ambassador Program for medical students. Its challenge was rewarding student ambassadors across many countries and currencies, where traditional gift cards and physical checks would be difficult, slow, and error-prone. BHN Rewards, formerly Rybbon, provided the digital gifting platform used to support this program.

With BHN Rewards, Figure 1 was able to automate reward selection and delivery, including Virtual Visa rewards that work in many countries, and customize recipient options by region. Rewards were sent from Figure 1’s branded email domain, helping create a stronger impression and driving a substantial increase in Ambassador Program participation; the company reported powering a program of over 300 medical students each year.
