Lloyds Banking Group needed to evolve its Google Cloud landing zone to scale its workloads, but an incomplete initial implementation limited its ability to grow confidently. The complexity of the program and the lack of a reliable provisioning mechanism created a high risk of human error, which was unacceptable under financial services regulations. Beyond designed and built the missing capabilities into repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code, including solutions for high availability and an automated image factory. This solution reduced VM provisioning time from several hours to just 30 minutes. Beyond also eliminated manual configuration errors by automating compliance testing across five image families, giving Lloyds Banking Group a robust, code-driven foundation to scale its Google Cloud estate.
