Case Study: VistaPrint achieves reduced malware and higher call‑center productivity with BeyondTrust PowerBroker for Desktops

A BeyondTrust Case Study

Preview of the VistaPrint Case Study

VistaPrint Improves Security, Meets Productivity Demands

VistaPrint, a leading online provider of customized print products serving over 7 million customers across 17 localized sites in 120+ countries, relies on a 400-person customer service center to support its Internet-based business. Because many support applications required elevated rights, agents were configured as local administrators on Windows XP machines, leaving the call center vulnerable to viruses, malware and zero-hour exploits that caused downtime and productivity losses.

VistaPrint deployed BeyondTrust PowerBroker for Desktops on every customer service PC to enforce a Least Privilege model by granting elevated rights only to specific applications when needed. The change removed local admin access, virtually eliminated malware and zero-hour incidents, cut IT support requests, reduced downtime for agents, and measurably increased customer service productivity and its positive impact on the company’s bottom line.
