VCU Health System implemented BeyondTrust’s Retina vulnerability management to reduce breach risk, shrink its attack surface, meet HIPAA, HITRUST, ITIL and NIST requirements, and tighten operational practices. The organization uses Retina frequently for agentless network scanning, local agent-based scanning, web application scanning, patch management, configuration compliance and endpoint protection.

Using Retina’s asset discovery, agentless and agent-based scanning, patch management, remediation guidance and reporting, VCU was able to scan remote/offline assets, profile unknown devices, understand vulnerability impact, report risk to IT and auditors, prioritize remediation and patch more efficiently.
