A BeyondTrust Case Study
Boise State University, a public research university with over 22,000 students, sought to advance a “students first” IT strategy but struggled to support a growing number of off‑campus and Mac users. The university’s existing remote support tool was cumbersome and limited to on‑network devices, leaving students and faculty without reliable, platform‑agnostic assistance.
Boise State deployed a Bomgar B200 appliance, gaining secure, cross‑platform remote support (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc.), an embedded chat on the student portal, and tools like unattended reboot and session logging. The result was faster, more collaborative troubleshooting, reduced in‑person visits, easier training for student technicians, and better support for distance learning and a diverse device ecosystem.
