Emporos Systems, a Charlotte-based provider of pharmacy point-of-sale solutions (MerchantSoft®) used by independent pharmacies, hospitals and clinics, needed a more secure and flexible remote support system. Their existing tool lacked advanced security (dynamic RSA token support) and the ability for reps to work remotely and handle multiple simultaneous sessions while remaining compliant with HIPAA and PCI requirements.
Emporos deployed two Bomgar Box appliances (primary and disaster-recovery) to enable RSA integration, one-time end-user setup via Jump Technology, session recording and multi-session support. The result was a secure, compliant support environment with higher first-call resolution and client satisfaction, reduced support costs, and 99% uptime with automatic failover.
