Extending IT Support to Meet the Needs of a Growing University

La Salle University, a private university in Philadelphia with multiple campuses and growing online and international programs, faced a challenge scaling IT support with just seven technicians. A dispersed campus, BYOD culture (about half of incoming students use Macs) and remote users made it difficult and time-consuming for staff to resolve problems in person.

After discovering Bomgar, La Salle deployed its remote-support appliance and the one-click Bomgar Button, which supports Macs, Windows, Linux and mobile platforms and integrates with Active Directory and their help-desk software.
