City of Memphis Chooses BeyondTrust to Protect Its IT Network Infrastructure

The City of Memphis, which employs over 8,000 people and manages an annual budget of roughly $650 million, needed a more proactive, auditable approach to vulnerability management. Its large, diverse IT environment—virtual machines and servers running Microsoft, Linux and Oracle—was being managed manually with inconsistent patch verification, creating accountability and compliance risks that CIO Brent Nair tasked the team to solve.

After evaluating several vendors, the city deployed BeyondTrust’s Retina CS Enterprise Vulnerability Management solution to discover, prioritize, remediate and report on vulnerabilities across the environment. Retina CS enabled snapshot-before/after verification of patches, centralized dashboards and automated reporting, giving the IT team greater assurance for audits, reducing manual effort and ensuring consistent, effective remediation.
