A Bevy Case Study

How Startup Grind built a thriving community

Startup Grind, founded in 2010, is a global community of entrepreneurs run by hundreds of local Chapter Leaders. When the COVID‑19 pandemic forced a rapid transition from in‑person to virtual events, Startup Grind turned to Bevy and its community platform and virtual events capabilities to scale, manage permissions for local organizers, and centralize events.

Bevy delivered a permissioned community hub, a virtual event type, and deep analytics so local ambassadors could run events and HQ could monitor performance. As a result, Startup Grind went from 0 to 250 virtual events in eight weeks and now runs nearly 1,000 events per month across 600+ chapters in 125+ countries, serving over 2 million community members — with membership and annual events having doubled year over year.
