Sweco Implements Betty Blocks for Innovation and Digital Transformation

Sweco Group, Europe’s largest architecture and engineering consultancy, was struggling with growing demand for bespoke, secure, and fast-to-build applications while relying on inefficient MS Access/Excel workarounds and costly traditional IT projects—compounded by a tight ERP rollout timeline. To accelerate digital transformation and empower business users, Sweco Group adopted the Betty Blocks low-code/no-code platform.

Using Betty Blocks, Sweco Group established fusion teams (with implementation partners Aziri in Belgium and ilionx in the Netherlands) and trained citizen developers to build and iterate solutions rapidly. The Betty Blocks deployment delivered five internal applications—including a Client Satisfaction Tool with more than 5,000 global users—and a Jira-integrated BIM Tool, all built within budget and timeframe, reducing manual work, speeding certification and ERP integration, and lowering failure costs across the organization.
