CBORD, a 900-employee provider of integrated technology solutions for higher education, healthcare and senior living based in Ithaca, NY, needed a complete talent-management approach to attract top people, drive engagement across a distributed workforce, and maintain a non-hierarchical, two-way culture centered on its “DREAM” values (Dynamic, Restless, Empowered, Accountable, Mindful).
CBORD implemented betterworks and rebranded its modules as DREAM Goals (OKRs), DREAM Checks (conversations), DREAM Feedback and DREAM Shouts (recognitions), emphasizing employee-driven conversations and manager assessment of DREAM values. The program created clearer alignment, accountability and transparency, strengthened performance development, and produced higher engagement and participation on CBORD’s Gallup Q12 survey, contributing to improved productivity and business results.
