Design Within Reach (founded 1999) is a retailer that makes modern design accessible through 40 Studios, a website and catalog. When the company relocated and found on‑prem Exchange cost‑prohibitive, it migrated to G Suite but soon missed legacy admin capabilities—particularly scalable user and mailbox management—needed to support IT, HR and a growing workforce.

DWR implemented BetterCloud to fill those gaps: offboarding workflows sped deprovisioning and eliminated dormant accounts, inbox delegation and shared‑mailbox tools removed the need to share passwords, access control let HR run delegated reports, and advanced reporting and Drive management uncovered and cleaned up unused groups and inactive accounts (about 200 groups removed). The result was faster, more organized IT and help‑desk operations and greater G Suite visibility—what DWR calls the “ultimate tool for G Suite management.”
